Baptist Back-to-School Drive-thru fair plan announced

NEW ALBANY, MS – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County will host a free drive-through Back-to-School Fair on Saturday, July 25^th.

The Fair is an annual event, which Baptist has hosted for many years.

This year, due to COVID-19, participants will stay in their motor vehicles and follow a designated route, as directed by police officers.

Children will interact with medical professionals, public safety personnel, and civic club members who help sponsor the fair.

Fire fighting equipment, ambulances and other emergency vehicles will be on display.

The Back-to-School Fair is intended for children age 12 and younger.

Adults driving children through the health fair will enter the hospital campus from Oxford Road on the south side of the hospital. New Albany Police Department (NAPD) officers will begin lining up vehicles on Oxford Road about 7:30 a.m.

Motor vehicles will drive slowly past about 25 booths offering free medical clinics, dental clinics, health tips and safety information.

School supplies will be available on a first come, first served basis.

NAPD officers will be on-site throughout the Back-to-School Fair to assure safety and an orderly flow of traffic.
