UPDATE: Saturday, May 14, 1:15 pm. Chief Chris Robertson informs NEMiss.News that NAPD is still looking for Tyrone Preston Bell, but believes he has left New Albany.
Following a domestic disturbance shortly before noon today, Friday, May 13th, the New Albany Police Department (NAPD) is looking for Tyrone Preston Bell, a black male.
The domestic disturbance in the 800 block of East Bankhead caused injuries to an individual at that location.
Both the New Albany Middle School and News Albany High School were briefly put under a “soft lock-down.”
NAPD Chief Chris Robertson said Bell is a convicted felon and could be armed with a hand-gun.
Bell should be considered potentially dangerous and, if he is spotted, citizens should not attempt to approach him.
Instead report any possible sighting of Bell by calling 911.
